Reminder: 112 Precinct Council Meeting Tonight

Blockwatcher training will highlight event.

The 112 Precinct Community Council meeting will be held on Monday, May 14 this month, a move from its usual Wednesday date.

The meeting will be a combination of several precinct events, most notably the training of neighborhood “Blockwatchers.”

Residents will have an opportunity to go over crime statistics and have a question and answer session with Commanding Officer Christopher Tamola.

In addition, the precinct will hold “Blockwatcher” training for interested residents.

The NYPD Blockwatcher program gives residents training on how to spot dangerous or suspicious situations in their neighborhood.

Train “Blockwatchers” are also given a special number which they use to report crime or dangerous situations to the police.
