Hurricane Sandy: What You Need To Know

On Sunday, Mayor Michael Bloomberg closed public schools across the city and ordered an evacuation of "Zone A."

Subways, trains and buses have also been shut down.

Google Crisis Response Maps are also a great resource to monitor the direction of the storm, get updates and check out live camera feeds of your neighborhood and places nearby.

As this summer has shown, Forest Hills' antiquated sewer system has made it a hot spot for road and basement flooding. If you see flooding in your part of town, make sure to share information and photos with us.
