Fire Breaks Out at DOT Garage in Forest Hills

No injuries were reported in two-alarm blaze, FDNY says.

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire that broke out at a city Department of Transportation garage on Thursday morning in Forest Hills, an FDNY spokesman said.

The fire started around 4:55 a.m. on the roof of a one-story DOT garage at 69-46 Sybilla St., but was under control by 7:40 a.m., the FDNY spokesman said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
