Fake Cop Wanted in Switchblade Mugging

Home invasion in nearby precinct has cops on alert.

Police in Queens are seeking a suspect wanted for police impersonation in the nearby 115 Precinct in Jackson Heights. 

On Friday, March 9, two suspects entered an apartment in Jackson Heights at 4:30 p.m. They brandished switchblades and identified themselves as police officers before demanding money from the victim, a 36-year-old man. 

The victim handed over an unknown amount of cash and the fake cops fled the scene on foot.

One of the alleged suspects is 25-year-old Julian Rodriguez, who is 5'7" and weighs 169 pounds, with short black hair.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips at the Crime stoppers website atWWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
