The 112th Precinct Community Council is participating with the city’s Police and Fire departments to host an emergency preparedness event this weekend in Forest Hills.
Attendees will be able to obtain information on how to prepare for an emergency at the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 21 at the Forest Hills Little League baseball fields.
The event will be hosted by the NYPD, FDNY, 112th Precinct Community Council and Forest Hills’ Community Emergency Response Team.
The NYPD will present information on its child safety identification program, through which parents can have their children fingerprinted and have IDs made for them.
Kids will be able to scale a rock climbing wall during the event, which is free and open to the public.
