Crook Hits Same Rego Park Bank Three Times

Valley National Bank struck by same thief three times this month.

Give the guy credit for consistency.

Police in Queens are seeking a suspect wanted in connection with three robberies in Rego Park, all of which took place at the same bank.

The Valley National Bank branch on 63rd Drive was first struck on Oct. 1, when a man wearing dark glasses and a hooded sweatshirt entered and passed the teller a note demanding money. After receiving an unknown amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot.

The same man, police believe, entered the bank twice more, once on Oct. 12 and once on Oct. 22 and pulled the same routine.

The man is described as being in his mid-20's, between 5'3" and 5'7" and roughly 140 pounds.

If anyone has any information, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Residents can also go to WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or text their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

This happens because the 112 is not interested in going after criminals like this. It spends its time doing favors for local politicians who treat it as their private army. There has been a worsening crime wave in this area for some time now and the 112 never catches any of these perpetrators. The fact that the same guy was able to rob this bank 3 times shows there are major problems with the 112 that should be investigated by an independent prosecutor who will not be afraid to look into what the 112 has been doing with its time and taxpayer funded resources.
