Crime rose 15 percent during the second week of 2014 in the 112th Precinct, according to police statistics.
There were no murders or rapes between Jan. 6 and 12, but one robbery took place. During the same week in 2013, the precinct did not report any robberies.
Grand larceny auto was the only one of the seven major crime categories to experience a drop in the number of incidents last week.
Last year, three cars were stolen during January’s second week, whereas none were taken this past week.
The precinct reported one felony assault and eight grand larceny incidents last week, which were the same number of incidents in both categories during the same week in 2013.
But burglary has been on the rise in the precinct. Five incidents were reported during the second week of this year, while only one incident had been reported at this same time last year.
The 112th Precinct covers Forest Hills and Rego Park.
