Crime at a Glance: Number of Incidents Down Nine Percent This Week

The number of felony assaults, robberies and grand larceny incidents were down this week.

Crime dropped nine percent in the 112th Precinct this past week with dips in three of the seven major crime categories, according to police statistics.

There were no murders, rapes or felony assaults in the precinct. During the same week last year, the precinct reported two assaults.

The number of robberies dropped from four incidents during the same week in November 2012 to two this past week.

And the number of grand larceny incidents were also down slightly from 13 incidents during the same week in 2012 to 12 last week.

But burglary was up from three incidents during the same week in November last year to five incidents this past week.

And while there were no grand larceny auto incidents during this week last year, there was one last week.

Overall crime for the year is down 5.7 percent.

The 112th Precinct covers Forest Hills and Rego Park.
