Crime at a Glance: Number of Incidents Down 13 Percent This Week

The precinct experienced drops in two of the seven major crime categories this past week.

Crime dropped 13 percent in the 112th Precinct this past week with dips in two of the seven major crime categories, according to police statistics.

There were no murders, rapes or grand larceny auto incidents during the past week in the precinct.

There were nine grand larceny incidents, which was the same amount reported during the same week in November 2012.

Robbery dropped from three incidents during the same week in November 2012 to one incident this past week.

And there were two burglaries last week, which was down from three incidents during the same week last year.

Felony assault was the only crime category to see an increase. The precinct reported one incident this past week, whereas no assaults occurred during the same week in 2012.

Overall crime is down seven percent for the year.

The 112th Precinct covers Forest Hills and Rego Park.
