Crime at a Glance: Last Week of 2013 Mirrors Final Days of Previous Year

A total 18 incidents were reported during the last week of December in both 2012 and 2013.

The 112th Precinct reported the exact same number of incidents during the last week of 2013 as it did during the same week in 2012, according to police statistics.

Between Dec. 23 and 29, a total 18 incidents among the Police Department's seven major crime categories occurred in the precinct. That exact same number was reported during the final week of 2012 in the precinct.

There were no rapes or murders in the precinct. One grand larceny auto incident was reported, which was the exact same number of cars stolen in the precinct during the same week in 2012.

Robbery dropped from two incidents during the last week of 2012 to one incident during 2013's final week. And the number of burglaries fell from four incidents during the same week in December 2012 to two incidents in 2013's last week.

There were no felony assaults reported in the precinct during 2012's final week, but two occurred during the last week of 2013.

And grand larceny was up slightly from 11 incidents during the same week in 2012 to 12 incidents this past week.

Overall crime for the year was down seven percent.
