Crime at a Glance: Grand Larceny Auto, Burglary Up Slightly

Overall crime rose seven percent this past week.

Crime was up seven percent in the 112th Precinct during the past week, but the increase in the number of incidents across the seven major crime categories was relatively low.

There were two burglaries during the past week, up from one incident during the same period of time last year.

And four grand larceny auto incidents were reported. During the same week in 2012, there were only two incidents.

But the number of grand larceny incidents fell slightly from eight during the same week in 2012 to seven during the past week.

There was one robbery in the precinct during the past week, but no murders, rapes or felony assaults.

Overall, crime for the year is down three percent.
