  • The first week of 2013 was virtually identical to 2012 in nearly every major category.
  • The only category that had a sharp increase over last year was the number of misdemeanor assaults in the precinct, with nine occuring this year compared to just three in 2012.
  • The precinct has held on to its more than a year-long streak without any homicides in the precinct into 2013.
  • There was one more grand larceny in the most recent week than there was during the same period last year. Larcenies are still the areas of greatest focus for police in the 112 Precinct.
