Cops Release Photo of Floral Park Bank Robber

TD Bank on Jericho Turnpike robbed Sunday afternoon, cops said.

Nassau County Police released surveillance images of a man they say robbed a Floral Park bank last weekend.

Cops said the man approached a teller at TD Bank on Jericho Turnpike and told them to fill a white plastic bag with cash. The teller cooperated and handed over an undisclosed amount of money before the man fled on foot. He was seen heading east through the parking lot.

The robbery was reported at 12:34 p.m. Sunday.

The subject is described as a white man, 20-30 years old, about 6 feet tall, thin build, and clean shaven. He was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or the Robbery Squad at 516-573-8040. All callers will remain anonymous.

Just think...in a few years there won't be any more 20-30 year-old bank robbers, because all the kids graduating from our high schools will be "college- and career-ready" thanks to the Common Core and all of that testing! I mean, unless YOUR kid opts out of all those tests, in which case he may need to rob a bank in order to survive. But I guess even that will count as a success story for the Common Core: being prepared for life as a career criminal will still count as being "career-ready", and, he will be eligible to take college courses in jail once they throw him in there.

Can they say "white male"??? Newsday will be angry at that.

They could have said "white junkie...." How long before this guy gets his free shot a redemption via an injection of NARCAN, so everything will be alright?
