Alleged Queens Blvd. Bandit Arrested

Man charged in five counts of robbery for local bank jobs.

Police in Queens announced the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with five bank robberies,

Sidney Williams, 43, of Knickerbocker Avenue in Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with five counts of robbery three for his alleged role in a February crime spree that struck four Chase Bank branches and one Capital One Bank.

Two of the incidents took place in the 112 Precinct, one at a Chase branch at 95-38 Queens Blvd. and the other at a Forest Hills Chase branch at 104-17 Queens Blvd.

Police have been seeking a suspect since the first incident on Feb. 3.
Every incident was similar, with the suspect handing a note to the teller then fleeing, with or without cash.
