After Arrest, Police Host Burglary Info Meeting

Meeting will include important home-securing tips.

After the spike in burglaries in Forest Hills the 112 Precinct is sponsoring yet another public safety meeting next week.

The meeting will take place Monday, May 6 at the William Sydney Mount School at 65-10 Dieterle Cres. in Rego Park at 7 p.m.

"While recently, the precinct did arrest one burglar who was responsible for some of the burglaries, we believe that this meeting is still important for our residents to attend, as there are other perpetrators who are still in the neighborhood," said 112 Precinct Council President Heidi Chain. "The success of the precinct in affectuating these arrests, unfortunately is not eliminatingthe need for our residents to remain vigilent and to report suspicious activity in our neighborhood."

At the meeting, residents can ask questions of Precinct Commander Thomas Conforti, and get important public safety tips.
