The Central Queens Y will be closed several days this week in observance of Shavuot.
The Y, which is located at 67-09 108th St. in Forest Hills, will shut its doors at 6 p.m. on May 14 and will remain closed on May 15 and 16. It will reopen on May 17 at 6:15 a.m.
Shavuot commemorates the anniversary of the day God gave the Torah to the entire nation of Israel at Mount Sinai.
Alternate side parking is suspended for the holiday on Wednesday and Thursday.
