Hanukkah Events in Forest Hills

Celebrate the Festival of Lights locally.

With Hanukkah arriving this weekend, it's time for our annual round-up of events in and around the Forest Hills community.

We've got a couple of services and parties below. If you've got an event you'd like to see posted, just add it in the comments!

Reform Temple of Forest Hills Menorah Lighting:

The community menorah lighting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 5:45. There will be a musical performance for the ceremony. 

The temple is located at 71-11 112th St. Forest Hills.

Central Queens Y Hanukkah Party

The Central Queens Y will host a party to kick off the holiday, with games, a DJ, face-painting and more.

Head to the Central Queens Y at 1 p.m. on Dec. 9 for this event. There's more info on the attached flyer.

Drum Circle at the Chabad of Rego Park

The Chabad of Rego Park will host a drum circle for parents and children on Sunday, Dec. 16. The event will last from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The shul is located at 66-05 108th St.

Forest Hills Jewish Center Lights & Latkes - Tuesday December 11 6 p.m. BYOM (Bring Your Own Menorah) for candle lighting, song-singing and latke-eating. $5 for non-members, payable at the door. 106-06 Queens Boulevard, Forest Hills.
