Dining Out on Christmas in Forest Hills

Finding a place to eat out in Forest Hills on Christmas Eve or Day is not the easiest task.

Still, several local restaurants are remaining open and offering holiday specials.

Patch has listed a few of the eateries in the neighborhood where you can grab a bite to eat on Dec. 25. But be sure to call ahead to find out whether you need reservations or if tables are available.

Aged, 107-02 70th Road

This eatery is offering a $65 prix fixe menu that includes a glass of champagne on Christmas Eve only. Starters include fois gras with poached prunes, lobster bisque and oysters Rockefeller. There are several options for entrees, including crusted Atlantic salmon, grilled lamp chops and yellow fin tuna, while patrons can choose between ice cream, cheesecake and chocolate lava cake for dessert.

Alberto Restaurant, 98-31 Metropolitan Ave.

This Italian eatery is only open on Christmas Eve and offering its regular menu. There is limited space left, so call 718-268-7860 to reserve a spot.

Austin’s Ale House, 82-70 Austin St. in Kew Gardens

There will be a five-course prix fix menu at $45 per person that includes a soup, salad, drink and dessert. The filet mignon with lobster tail option will cost $15 extra.

Ben’s Best Deli, 96-40 Queens Blvd.

This deli is open during its regular hours. For the holidays, Ben’s is offering party platters, such as a hero by the foot, assorted meat platter and sandwich platter.

Nick’s Bistro, 104-20 Metropolitan Ave.

This Greek restaurant will offer regular hours on Christmas Eve only. There will be daily specials and the regular menu.

Pampas Argentinas, 105-07 Metropolitan Ave.

This restaurant will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 1 p.m. to midnight on Christmas Day. The eatery will offer its regular menu, but also chef’s holiday specials.
