The PUBLIQuartert: Chamber Music Classics with a Modern Spin

Description: Formed in 2010, PUBLIQuartet (PQ) injects fresh perspective into the world of Classical music. Graduates of Eastman School of Music and the Mannes College of Music, each member contributes to a collective background in classical, jazz, world and electro acoustic performance. They aim to present music from the classical cannon, contemporary compositions, and open-form improvisations which extend the stylistic norms of the traditional string quartet.

Concert includes pieces by:
Howie Kenty, Dave Soldier, Jessie Montgomery, Gyorgy Ligeti and the PUBLIQuartet [MIND|THE|GAP - Improvisations based on Haydn's String Quartet Op. 50, No. 2 (2013)]


Price: $22 adults;$15 seniors; $10 students; free for children 12 and younger Walking distance from E/F/M/R subway Forest Hills stop. Free on-street parking with permit available at the door. Reception to follow.
