Tornado Watch Issued For Forest Hills

'Damaging winds' could be possible before 8 p.m. tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for much of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, including Queens County.

The watch, which is in effect until 8 p.m., also includes a hazardous weather outlook for thunderstorms.

According to the National Weather service, the most intense storms could hit the area between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Residents are warned that the storms could include heavy rain and damaging winds, with rain accumulation of a tenth of an inch or more.
