Oct. 20: Protect yourself and your neighbors

There are lots of ways to stay safe in Forest Hills today.

The middle of the week isn't so bad! In Forest Hills, there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied and keep your mind off the mid-week blues. Here's just a few of the things you can do in the area to get active, get involved or just have fun. It's our 5 things you need to know for today, Oct. 20:

1.     Protect yourself and your neighbors. The 112th Precinct Community Council meeting is tonight at the Precinct House on Austin Street. Tonight's speaker will discuss the development and importance of the transit system in the area.

2.     Really want to exercise protecting yourself? The Central Queens Y is offering Judo classes. Learn a few blocks and throws to keep yourself safe on the mean streets, or just have fun with a few people from the neighborhood while staying fit.
