Nor'easter Threatens Forest Hills

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning and wind advisory for Queens, Long Island.

Forest Hills has spent the last month being battered by a multitude of storms, some big and some small, and according to the National Weather Service, it's not over yet.

Steady rain made for a slow evening commute across the Tri-State area, but it is merely the advancing edge of a far bigger weather system. A nor'easter will bring heavy rain and severe winds to New York City and Long Island, beginning Thursday evening and continuing through Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Queens, Nassau, Suffolk counties, as well as a gale warning for the waters surrounding Long Island, from the Atlantic to the Long Island Sound. Be prepared for a slow morning commute. Friday outdoor sporting events, such as soccer or football, may be rained out as well.
