No Alternate Side Parking on Wednesday

Residents do not need to move their cars, but parking meters will still be in effect.

The city has suspended alternate side parking on Oct. 26 for the Diwali holiday, according to the city's Department of Transportation.

Drivers will not be required to move their vehicles on Wednesday morning, but all other regulations, including parking meters, will remain in effect.

Diwali is a Hindu holiday that is also known as the "festival of lights" due to the common practice of placing small lit oil lamps around the house. The festival anticipates the approaching winter.
