For New York City residents, Sept. 11 brings myriad emotions each year. In 2011, New Yorkers observed the tenth anniversary of the attacks, and viewing for the first time the completed memorial in Lower Manhattan.
Each year, Sept. 11 is held up as a day of service and remembrance, and people choose to observe it in different ways.
Some help their neighbors, some meditate on the lives of lost loved ones and friends.
Earlier this week, we put together a list of memorials and volunteer opportunities for the day, but we want to here from you.
How do you observe Sept. 11 each year? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
