Grab & Go Kids Planner: Spring Is Here Edition!

Check out all that the neighborhood has to offer this weekend!

Kids of all ages will love Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theatre at the Kupferberg Center!  Get ready to laugh out loud as cats and dogs, all rescued from shelters, perform hilarious and amazing acts that are usually reserved for humans!  Sunday, March 27th at 3 p.m. Children under 12, $12.  All other tickets, $18.  To learn more visit Comedy Pet Theatre.   Queens College, 65-30 Kissena Blvd.

The New York Hall of Science opens the NanoDays: The Biggest Event for the Smallest Science exhibit, a hands-on exploration of how small science can really get.  Kids will love to challenge themselves with a variety of activities including building a Lego house while wearing cooking mittens.  The exhibit runs from March 26 thru April 3.  11 a.m - 5 p.m.  For more information visit The Smallest Science.  Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

The New York City parks Department brings Going Green in Queens to Flushing Meadows Corona Park. This half day of hand-on workshops allows kids and families to meet the leaders working to green our community and have lots of fun with various activities including learning how to care for trees, catching flicks from the film festival and even playing with worms.  Saturday, March 26, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.  For details and to pre-register visit Going Green in Queens.  Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

The Queens Museum of Art presents the "The Museum Explores Club" -- a program for families affected by and living with autism.  Familes, including grandparents and siblings, are welcomed and encouraged to join various art making and art viewing activities in the studio to encourage and build community.  Free event.  Registration is required.  Saturday, March 12, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Visit QUEENS MUSEUM OF ART.  

And now that spring has officially arrived, make sure to get the kids over to The Playground for All Children.  With loads of ramps for climbing, a great school bus and school house for pretend play and loads of ways to make music, this park is the perfect place for a family picnic and to blow off some steam.  Visit Playground For All Children  55th Avenue at 111th St.
