It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check our picks for the activities to hit and new places to explore.

1.Year of the Rabbit!

On Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 5 - 6, celebrate the Chinese New Year, Year of the Rabbit, at the Queens Zoo where kids can get to know the zoos giant flemish rabbits, particpate in a bunny-themed story time at 1 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. and enjoy New Year crafts and hot cocoa.

2. Beginner Bellydancing Workshop

Where/When: It’s at Tree of Life Yoga on Metropolitan Avenue. Sun. 12 p.m. -1:30 p.m.

Why: We can bet this is something you’ve never tried before.

Price: $120 to register for the class.

3. The Hall of Science!

The New York Hall of Science has something going on this weekend for kids of all ages. Preschoolers will love:

  • The Preschool Place Great Cat Trap Puppet Show on Saturday & Sunday at 12:30 and 2:30 pm
  • The Preschool Place Shape Necklace Craft on Saturday & Sunday at 12:45 and 2:45 pm

Older kids will love the featured exhibit “1001 Inventions" as they uncover a thousand years of science & technology. The "dark ages" were a golden age! Discover a forgotten history of science and scholarship in this hands-on exhibition. Free with NYSCI admission.

4. Watch the Big game !

5. Not A Football Fan? Hit the Movies!

The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria has a great workshop for children to learn about the science that underlies our ability to see a moving image and create a hand-drawn flipbook to take home.  Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 am (30 minute workshop.)
