With the weather getting warmer and the seasonal change completely overwith, we’ve shifted our gas prices feature into the weekend temporarily, so you can see what local gas prices look like for weekend getaways rather than just your workweek commute.

Things have not improved on the gas price front, however, as gas prices continue to climb ever higher.

For the first time since Forest Hills Patch started compiling numbers in your neighborhood last year, even the lowest price on regular-grade gasoline has climbed above $4.

Here are just a few of the places you can fill up for less.

If you’re looking for regular fuel, head over to on Metropolitan Avenue, they’ve got the lowest price on regular gas at $4.099 per gallon.

Sunoco also has the lowest price in the area on plus-grade gasoline, selling it for $4.159 per gallon.

If you’re looking to fill up with premium, head over to the full-service Getty Station at 75-41 Yellowstone Blvd. in Rego Park. Despite the full-service status, they’ve got the lowest price on premium in the area at $4.399 per gallon.

If you need to fill up with diesel fuel, the best place in the neighborhood to go is the Mobil station at 68-27 Woodhaven Blvd., also in Rego Park. Diesel fuel is on sale there for $4.799 per gallon.
