Community Update

My fiance and I spent a lot of time researching apartments/neighborhoods in Queens that would suit our needs. We also had a tough time getting real estate brokers to pay attention to what we were looking for and most of the agents were pushy. We finally found the perfect apartment for us with the help of Adam from Contact Realty.

Adam showed us a few beautiful apartments in Forest Hills which we liked but in the end we decided on a lovely apartment located near Austin Street in Kew Gardens. He was punctual, easy-going, and really listened to our ideas about the type of place we wanted to begin our lives together. My fiance, Julie, just loved the romantic experience of walking through Kew Garden Hills as well as Forest Park. My personal favorites were (and are) the Hangar 11 Bar and Grill on Metropolitan (you can watch the game on multiple flat screens) and the movie theater near Austin and Lefferts Blvd. It's actually one of the oldest cinemas in New York. There's also the Long Island Rail Road, some places to shop and dine, the very cozy Dradek's Coffee House, a salon and spa, and Austin's Ale House--where you can enjoy a beer or meal in a nice sitting area outside in warm weather. Julie and I just fell in love with the neighborhood, the friendly community, the park and winding hills lined with fairy tale mansions (definitely her favorites).

We could never have found our great new home without Adam's time and assistance. After we decided which apartment would work best for us we faxed over our paperwork and completed application and wired the $300 deposit to Contact Realty. We had an answer less than two days later! Adam was on top of every thing and kept in touch with me via email, text, and phone with updates on our application. Three days after we applied we were able to sign the lease and received the keys that same day. It was an exciting, amazing experience for me and Julie and we can't stop sharing it with our friends and family. Thank you, Contact Realty! --Brian & Julie
