What's Closed? Services Have Holiday Schedules
Subway schedules, post office hours and more on Patch.
Many city services and community centers will be shut down on Christmas. We've put together a partial list for you of what's is completely shut down, and what city services you can still count on.

Friday: Running on a Saturday schedule. Limited service in some areas.
Saturday: Trains running on a normal Saturday schedule. Buses will run on a Sunday schedule.

: The LIRR will be running 14 extra trains to some eastbound trains for those visiting family on Long Island. On Saturday, trains will run on a more limited holiday schedule.
: Most stores will be closed on Austin Street, Metropolitan Avenue and Queens Boulevard. Check back with Patch on Saturday for a list of open restaurants and stores.
