ProHealth Expected to Open on Austin Street in the Spring

Urgent care center originally planned to open around the beginning of the new year.

An urgent care center known as ProHealth that was originally expected to open around the beginning of 2014 is now likely to debut in the spring, a spokesman for the center said.

The facility, which will serve both adults and children, is located at 71-53 Austin St. between Bareburger and Queens Nails and Spa.

ProHealth had originally planned to open the center around Jan. 1. But spokesman Robert Russo said the center is finalizing some permit and construction issues and that it would likely open its doors in the spring.

The center will treat patients for ear aches and infections, fever, flu, coughs, strep and sore throat, mild asthma, migraines, skin rashes, sprains and strains, minor cuts and lacerations, allergic reactions, minor fractions and dislocations, insect and animal bites and sexually transmitted diseases.
