Local Pols Praise Passover Donation

Supermarket donates 1,000 pounds of kosher food.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, D-Manhattan, joined other local leaders, including Forest Hills' Council member Karen Koslowitz at Queens Jewish Community Council headquarters this week*

The grocery store chain donated 1,000 pounds of kosher food to the Kosher Food Pantry in Forest Hills, at a time of year when demand for donations is incredibly high.

The donations will be distributed to the more than 300,000 families that are struggling during the Jewish holiday season.
