Glorious Return for Gloria Pizza: Report

Former Flushing pizza joint will reopen in Forest Hills.

The loved and lost Gloria Pizza, formerly of Flushing, is coming back for a return engagement, this time in Forest Hills, the New York Daily News reports.

According to the paper, Gloria Pizza, which closed the doors of its Flushing location in 1994, is reopening next to the on Queens Boulevard sometime in the next month.

In an interview with the pizzeria’s owner, the paper revealed that while most of the storied restaurant’s original staff are long retired, the same great taste will be tempting Queens residents once again.

So while Forest Hills already had some great pizza shops, it looks like , and are going to have some competition.

Currently, the site of the restaurant is undergoing renovation. The pizza shop that had served movie patrons previously closed in 2010.
