Some good and surprising news on the local gas prices front this week, as we’ve actually seen a small drop in fuel prices in the area.
While the summer months usually auger in a time of elevated petrol prices, the rainy weeks we’ve seen in May have actually produced a small decrease in fuel prices in the area, according to www.motortrend.com.
If you’re looking for regular gas, head on over to the Mobil at 68-27 Woodhaven Blvd. For the first time in weeks, regular fuel is back down under the $4 mark, coming in at $3.999 per gallon.

That same Mobil station is also where you’re going to find the lowest price on diesel fuel, if that’s what you’re looking for. Diesel is on sale at the gas station for $4.599 per gallon.
If you’re looking to fill up your tank with some mid-range gasoline, the best price in town that you’re likely to find is at on Metropolitan Avenue. Plus gasoline there is on sale for $4.299 per gallon.

Believe it or not, premium fuel at the local Getty station at 75-41 Yellowstone Blvd. in Rego Park is actually slightly cheaper than the cheapest mid-grade gas in the area, coming in at $4.279 per gallon.
