Forest Hills Resident and Friend Launch E-Cigarette Company

Web designer Zack Eidman says Clevervape aims to be high-end online e-cigarette brand.

A Forest Hills web designer whose previous job went up in smoke amid the recession has launched a high-end e-cigarette company with a friend from the community.

Zack Eidman, who lives in Forest Hills, taught himself to build websites as he searched for jobs for more than a year.

He and his friend, Forest Hills' Adam Pickman, recently debuted Clevervape, their e-cigarette company. Eidman says the company’s aim is to create healthier alternatives to smoking by providing a premium e-juice line.

“If we can help save the lives of smokers and have fun doing it, then it’s a win-win situation,” Eidman said of Clevervape, which recently launched at Tampa Bay’s Vapestock convention.

The company’s juices are made with VG and PG USP food grade kosher flavor blends with 99.9 percent NIC pharmaceutical grade ingredients, Eidman said.

Flavors include the cool menthol Abandon Mint, java blend Bean Me Up, Brooklyn Pop with a black cherry taste, popcorn-styled Crackajacks and the sweet Dipstick.

Eidman said the flavors are produced in a controlled medical laboratory with a licensed chemist as well as the assistance of a doctor.

Clevervape can only be purchased on the company’s website or through one of its distributors.

“We are on a totally different end of the business than those e-cigarettes you see in 7-11 and stores like that,” Eidman said. “As the popularity of e-cigarettes continues to grow, there will be an ever increasing demand for a better quality product. Clevervape’s aim is to meet that demand.”

The company’s website not only sells a variety of e-juices, but also e-cigarette starter kits and other supplies. Eidman says he hopes the company will take off among those attempting to quit smoking.

“You know that expression, ‘Where’s there’s smoke, there’s fire’?” he said. “Well, sometimes what catches fire doesn’t necessarily have to start with smoke.”
