This Queens Boulevard establishment serves traditional Polish fare in a low-key coffee shop-setting featuring bare, wooden tables and white stucco walls adorned with paintings of flowers. Soft music plays in the background.
Breakfast items include Polish Style Poached Eggs served over Krakus ham covered in dill gravy ($8.25), Babka French Toast ($6.95) and various kinds of fruit and cheese blintzes ($9.50 for the large ones).

Of course, there are six kinds of Pieroggis ($9.50 for seven pieces), Red, White and Cold Spring Borscht (around $5), Kielbasa with Sauteed Onions and Peppers ($10.95) and Stuffed Cabbage with Tomato Gravy ($11.95).
On Monday night, Feb. 28, daily specials included Baked Salmon in Dill Sauce ($15.95), Beef Goulash with Potato Pancakes ($11.95) and Bigos, a mixture of sauerkraut, pieces of meat, boiled potato and fresh dill.

Just Like Mother's has a liquor license and sells wine and beer — Zywiec seems to be the most popular brand. One of the most interesting forms of libation is Kompote ($3.25), a light, non-alcoholic drink usually made with dried and fresh fruit which is boiled in sugary water.
