Assemblyman Rory Lancman, a candidate for Congress in Queens' newly-created Sixth District, took the retail giant to task.
"Elected officials in New York have an obligation to stand up for workers and small businesses in our city and send Walmart a clear message, that whether it's through politically-motivated charity donations, campaign contributions or outright illegal bribes, our city is not for sale," Lancman said.
We're curious to know what you think of the company now, and if those opinions have changed.
Do you agree with Lancman? Are you concerned that Wal-Mart isn't above trying to buy it's way into Queens or Brooklyn?
