Forestdale to Host Back to School Fair

Forest Hills nonprofit's Aug. 29 event will include a bouncy house, face painting and informational booths on local community organizations.

Forestdale will host its annual back to school fair on Aug. 29 during which attendees will be able to visit booths from local community organizations as well as take part in a variety of fun activities.

The fair will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Forestdale, which is located at 67-35 112th St. in Forest Hills.

The event will include a bouncy house, face painting and sack race for children as well as booths sponsored by local health and community organizations.

An estimated 500 guests and staff are expected to attend the fair.

All youths who attend the event will be given a backpack filled with school supplies that were donated by Queens Borough President Helen Marshall, Minuteman Press and UNO Chicago Grill.

Forestdale is a nonprofit that aims to ensure that children have assets they need to thrive, such as a safe and secure home life, school supplies and health education.
