In Forest Hills This Month: Jazz Thursdays

Music extravaganza will light up restaurant row in August.

Looking for something to do as August dawns in New York City? Why not raise the temperature with a little street jazz?

Two Thursdays, Aug. 9 and Aug. 16, will see 70th Road shut down between Austin Street and Queens Boulevard to host a concert series for residents free of charge.

On Aug. 9, the performers will be the Etienne Lytle Sextet, putting on a benefit concert for jazz saxophone player Nate Fitzgerald, who suffers from ALS.
