Horszowski Trio, Cyndi Lauper Play Kupferberg Center This Weekend

Arts center will host chamber music trio and '80s pop icon.

The Kupferberg Center for the Arts will host concerts this weekend from a chamber music trio that specializes in Beethoven and an iconic pop singer from Queens who dominated the charts in the 1980s.

The Horszowski Trio will play chamber music with an emphasis on Beethoven during a 10 a.m. performance today at the LeFrak Concert Hall. 

The group features Jesse Mills on violin, Raman Ramakrishan on cello and Reiko Aizaw on piano. For tickets, call 718-997-3800.

And Queens native Cyndi Lauper will perform her hits, such as "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Time After Time," on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Colden Auditorium.


The singer, who has won Grammy, Tony and Emmy awards, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of her debut album, “She’s So Unusual," during the concert.
