Forest Hills Mobile Art Studio to Participate in Hall of Science's Birthday Show

The Art Table Studio is a mobile art program that teaches classes from a box truck.

A new Forest Hills-based mobile art studio will exhibit this weekend at the New York Hall of Science’s Birthday Show.

The Art Table Studio, which was founded by Forest Hills’ Tiffany Pierce, will help youths create art at a table set up at the Hall of Science, located at 47-01 111th St. in Corona, on Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The hall will be hosting a birthday show, where parents can find information on the best services, entertainment and activities for planning their child’s birthday.

“We’ll have hands-on art activities and projects as well as some giveaways,” Pierce said. “And we’ll give a private art lesson to any birthday boy or girl.”

The Art Table Studio, which debuted last month, travels around the community and offers classes within its mobile truck.

“We are a community art mobile studio, so we provide arts education for parents, educators and community leaders,” Pierce said.

Those interested in taking classes with the studio can book programs through the group’s website. Participants can find times and places for the locations of the classes on the site.

Currently, the studio is starting a Kickstarter campaign to purchase the truck.
