    CON  BRIO  ENSEMBLE  PRESENTING  TWILIGHT CONCERT

Queens:  Members of the Con Brio Ensemble will be performing works by Brahms,Prokofievi and Dvorak on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 4:30 PM at the Church in the Gardens, 50 Ascan Avenue (3 blocks south of Queens Boulevard) in Forest Hills.

Critically acclaimed violinist, Paul Roczek; cellist, André Emelianoff, and  pianist, Diana Mittler-Battipaglia  will perform  Brahms’ dramatic Cello Sonata  in E minor opus 38; Prokofiev’s lively Violin Sonata in D major opus 94  and  Dvorak’s  colorful “Dumky’ Trio. Paul Roczek is Professor of Violin at the Mozaretum in Salzburg, Austria; André Emelianoff is  Professor of Cello and Chamber Music at the Juilliard School; Diana Mittler-Battipaglia is Professor of Music and Choral Director at Lehman College- CUNY.

 

This concert is made possible in part by the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the  the Queens Council on the Arts. Celebrating its 33rd season, the Con Brio Ensemble performs annual series in Queens, and Manhattan and is currently in residence at Lehman College-CUNY in the Bronx. 

 

Admission to the concert will be $12.00  ($ 10.00 for students and senior citizens)

TDF vouchers are accepted.
