REMEMBERING SEPTEMBER 11: A CONVERSATION ON THE IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY

Join us for a community discussion on the impact of September 11, hosted by the Library & Senior Adult Depts..  All across the city, groups are coming together, using NY Council on the Humanities materials to discuss ways in which our sense of community can emerge stronger despite real trauma.  Did 9/11 in fact lead to a stronger sense of connection within our own community or with other Americans?  9/11 has been designated a “Day of Service & Remembrance”.  What kinds of service would help build a stronger ongoing sense of connection?  Materials available in advance on website.

This program, which is free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities’ Conversations in the Humanities program.
