Tell Us What You Think About the QueensWay Park Plans

We'd like to know what you think of proposal for Forest Hills project.

Marc Matsil, New York's director for the Trust for Public Land, announced yesterday that two firms had been picked to lead a design and feasibility study for QueensWay park.

The proposed plan for the site would transform 3.5 miles of abandoned railroad into a new park with space for biking, walking, public art, food events and other recreational activities.

Check out this video of Matsil discussing the project.

Groups in favor of the proposal, such as the Friends of QueensWay, turned out to cheer the project's update. But at least one resident said he was concerned about how the new park would impede on his quality of life.

Patch wants to know: Do you support the creation of QueensWay park near the Forest Hills Little League Field, located along Fleet Street. Or, do you agree with the contention that it could be a nuisance for neighbors of the park?
