Tuesday

A new Italian restaurant is expected to replace Piccola Italia, the store’s owner said, but no further details are currently available.

Friday

Councilman Mark Weprin, D-Oakland Gardens, is one of six vying to be City Council speaker. And burger eatery Twist and Smash'd is expected to open on Austin Street this coming week.
