Hundreds of Forest Hills residents woke up bright and early Saturday morning to help restore MacDonald Park after dozens of the park's trees were destroyed in the

The incident left a huge scar in the park, uprooting and tearing down or cracking the trunks of trees that were between 30 and 50 years old.

Now, thanks to MillionTreesNYC and JetBlue, the park is being restored, slowly but surely.
