Travel Alert: Changes on the E and F Lines

Forest Hills train station will close for Manhattan-bound trains.

Subway riders in parts of Forest Hills will have to do a little extra walking for the next several days, according to the MTA.

Manhattan-bound trains on the E and F lines will not stop at in Forest Hills, or the Briarwood/Van Wyck station over the border in Kew Gardens, meaning riders looking to stop their will have to double-back on Queens-bound trains to get to those destinations — or just walk the extra distance.

According to the MTA track work will force the change on weeknights and weekends between Saturday, April 7 and Monday, April 16.
