Should Boro Hall Have Left Its Cherry Trees Alone?

What do you think of the decision to cut down a group of cherry trees behind Queensboro Hall?

As chronicled by the "A Walk in the Park" blog and several city news outlets, several cherry trees behind Queensboro Hall were chopped down last month.

The trees, which were in bloom at the time thanks to the city's early spring, came down because they were diseased, according to Borough Hall officials.

Despite the excuse, many residents have expressed a great deal of displeasure with the decision to bring down the cherry trees.
