A Rego Park man and his wife won a $7.1 million jackpot from the Sept. 4 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
Kam Sing Wong, 59, and Perla Wong, 59, had been playing the Lottery for more than 20 years and randomly selected numbers for September’s drawing.
The couple claimed the winning ticket on Oct. 30 at the Lottery’s recently closed Garden City customer service center.
The Wongs chose to each receive a one-time lump sum payment of $2.1 million, which they will use to buy a bigger house and a new Lexus.
The ticket was purchased at the Margaret Newsstand on 63rd Drive in Rego Park.
