Reader Comment of the Week

This week's comment comes from a story on a local youth winning a Pokemon championship.

Patch's reader comment of the week came from the Dec. 4 story, "Forest Hills Boy Wins Division at Pokemon Championship."

Reader Rose Wolner wrote, "Too bad that a winning a game is something to rave about. He should be winning for academic studies."

And reader J. May Miller responded, "I guess we shouldn't rave about kids winning in other games like Chess or Scrabble, both of which require quite a bit of intellect to succeed in. Perhaps you simply don't understand the complexity and strategy it takes to win one of these 'games,' especially for an 8-year-old. How about just congratulating him for a job well done?"
