Patch Asks: Would You Like to See Parkway Hospital Reopen?

There has been a lot of discussion recently about an effort to  Politics aside, would you like to see the hospital reopened?  Would it make you feel better about the urgent care and medical options available to your family in the community? Or do you think is just tangled in too much controversy?

Fortunately, our family has never needed to go to Parkway Hospital.  If necessary, there is North Shore nearby for urgent care.  Therefore, it wouldn't matter to me if Parkway Hospital reopens or shuts down forever.

Although it is down the block from me, it had such substandard care I think it's better closed. It's too small a site to support a well-established hospital willing to partner with it. Maybe a better use of facility would be a drop-in urgent care center.

I'd be happy to see a community health and wellness pavilion there with a variety of services including an urgent health center, early intervention services, blood lab, preventive medicine.
